Jaime

Guitar/Drums/Piano/Voice

Hey, I’m Jaime, I was born and raised in Argentina, where I started playing the drums at the age of 10. During the first few years of my musical development I was engaged with genres such as rock and metal, as my young self found a passion for making loud and fast noises.

In 2020 I moved to Australia, where I began playing guitar and singing, and expanded my melodic and harmonic knowledge of music. In 2023 I joined a pop-punk band called ‘Danger Den’ and gained experience in live performances as well as studio and recording experience.

As my love for the craft grew, I started my own project called ‘Ape Theory’ with a few Monash/VCA students, in which we delved into genres such as jazz, rock, funk and house, as well as implementing Argentinian traditional rhythms into the mix. I am currently studying a bachelor of music at Monash, more specifically, in the jazz and improvisation stream, and have had lessons from the great Tony Floyd.

If you’re keen to learn why music is commonly referred to as ‘The language of the Gods’, let me share my passion and love for the art with you!
